« on: January 15, 2011, 11:21:25 AM »
Sorry for the potentially noob question...I did search first...anyways I was swapping out belts and when I took off my intake and air flow meter I noticed a lot of was a lot of old oil residue in there...I'm thinking icv or hoses but anything else potentially? P/n's would be great too thanks everyone for any help you can provide...

It is normal to get some oily grime in the intake. There is a hose that connects the top of the valve cover back into the intake for emission reasons. For part #'s you can visit realoem.com and find basicly any factory part number for the car.

I have the same trouble.  Never worried me much.  It's back flow from the cylinder head connector.

ICV/intake & general vac hose leaks cause much of the same trouble.  When you have leaks in the hoses, the idle suffers and vacuum drops.  Then oil isn't pulled from the system very well.  I'd also check the big vac hose that connects under the TB (goes to the heater crossover then the ICV) as that will have a lot of oil too.
