Its going to cost you $500 at least to do a minor refresh.
Headgasket, gaskets, head bolts, tensioner, guide rails...shit has to replaced when you open up a motor and there is no "cheap" way of doing it. you either do it right, or you do it wrong and end up having to do it all over again a short time after.
Save up some money and do it right man, you just can't cut any corners with engine builds.
