downing atlanta s/c

Does antbody know abou the downing atlanta s/c. I have heard that it is the most cmplete kit possible. Wanted to ask you guys first. There is one for sale around my area for 1500.00 complete with software. What do you guys think.

The supercharger was originally developed for the E36 and is serpentine belt driven. Otherwise it's a bolt on. Time to feed the junk yard dog! Maybe downing has done some modifications for the E30 since the article in Grassroots Motorsports magazine. Time to click "Search".

Hey folks,
FYI –

I spoke to Jim at DASC yesterday. I was inquiring on the release date and any kinks that are preventing an earlier release date.
He mentioned there are 2 DASC M42’s in the works: The Grassroots car in the article, and another on the West coast undergoing “heavy” mods :cool:
 
As per Jim, the kit is not ready for shipping. One of the issues on the table is deciding if the A/C compressor will be part of the package, or will it be outsourced. I asked about running it without an A/C and his answer was that regardless if the customer wants cold air or not, you will still need an A/C (working or broken) compressor in order for the S/C to be installed.

Jim mentioned he has received a lot of calls regarding interest in the kit.  :)
