im going crazy trying to figure this out.....im kind of a newb but i have hours and hours of research under my belt and im a perfectionist so i know if i do it, i do it right. my car was running cool so i changed the thermostat to get it up to temp and now its overheating (yes i bled it correctly) so ive changed the water pump, flushed the radiator and heater core(not that that would be it) and did the intake mod(it runs way better now) and its still overheating....i know it could be a head gasket but theres no smoke and no coolant disappearing or in the oil....somebody help me

sounds like airpocket, you should elevate the front to bleed, sometimes it takes a long time. try smacking the temp gauge, mine needs to be smacked occasionly.

If the car was fine before you touched it and now it is overheating, it will be air, so you need to do another bleed, or one of the new parts installed is wrong. Lastly if it has been overheating a lot for a long time, it could now be head gasket. In the end looks like it just needs a re-bleed. Tip, make sure you engine is dead cold between bleeds.

thanks, parts were installed correctly for sure and i havent been driving it....im gonna try to bleed it agin....we'll see but one thing is for sure...i dont need multiple people telling me the same thing lol

If all you did was change the thermostat, take it out and see if it still overheats. If it stops overheating, you know the thermostat is bad.
