Curious... your motor wouldn't work in a 95 318ti with the M42 would it? I'm thinking the 95 has OBD1 stuff but I'm not sure what the differences would be. A buddy of mine local is looking to get this 95 ti with a bad motor but good body and interior. I'm trying to find a motor for him.

umm i think it would work but he would need the accesories off of his motor to put on this one!

im not totally sure tho do a little research and lemme kno if he would want it!

Everything is there on his motor, its just been overheated and misses / overheats bad. I'd assume everything would just transfer over and work fine. I'm not sure if that motor would have the DISA intake manifold or not, but I'd say that would swap too.

Where is your motor located?

it should work just fine i just put an m42 into a 92 chassis and all i had to do was use my old harness and ecu. obd2 didnt come around till 96. but check to see about ews/anti theft system. your vehicle should be equipped with this.

Now that I've inspected my timing components (and found some shark teeth sprockets!) I may have to scrounge up the cash for your motor

It'd probably be cheaper than replacing all the components on mine.

If your motor includes complete intake and exhaust manifold, I would really be interested, even if not. I will call you tomorrow. I am close to Charlotte, I could pick up there for your asking price or go to VA if you give me a really good deal.

trying to get rid of all this stuff man! and yes the intake and exhaust mani are still on it including harness and most of the accecories
