Another overheating issue :(

iv searched and searched, and read everything i found. and i need your help!

i just did the "mess under the intake" clean up. New thermostat, new coolant.

Now, my heat doesn't work, and the car over heats within 8 minutes of idling.

the two rad hoses are stone cold even when the car is past 1/2 mark, and even creeping up on red, the hoses are still cold.

My guess is the water pump. But It was working a couple weeks ago before i did the underside of the intake stuff, and i also replaced my valve cover gasket.

no coolant is leaking anywhere. i also bleed the coolant system completely. new coolant again. and nothing

anyone have any ideas?

im hoping my head isnt cracked, because i have read that to happen.. but it doesnt make any sense because i havnt driven the car at ALL since i did the intake stuff, and the thermostat.

It is very easy to check the waterpump. Take off the tap of the radiator and right under it on the left [twards the radiator] you have a small comunication channel. When you rev, coolant sould be coming form there entering the coolant tank. The higher you rev it, the stronger the coolant is coming.

I would suspect air in the system or thermostat not working.

IIRC, coolant will flow if you rev the engine past 4500 rpm, even if the tstat is stone cold.

how do you correctly get the air bubbles out of the system. i have read many different opinions on here and else where
