Considering purchasing one and wondering if anyone's installed one lately. Is the performance noticeable enough to justify the $250?

The performance specs for these chips are typically specified (the Turner Motorsport/Conforti chip for the M42 is supposedly +12HP +15Lb/ft), but I'm wondering whether or not their actual affect on the driving experience is worth the $200+.
