Author Topic: How Do I Install Upgraded Headlights (Read 2975 times)

I had recently bought a pair of LED XENON projector headlights with angle eyes but I'm having some trouble installing them. Does any one have any step by step directions or a link I could look at to help. Is it easy to DIY or should I seek professional installation and if so who?

As well does anyone know if there's a way to intertwine the balace wire into another wire instead of having to run it all the way back to the battery in the trunk, and if there's no way does anyone know a good route to take in wiring them back to the trunk without drilling any wholes?

You shouldn't have much trouble, even with an e30. Mount the ballasts up near the headlights. Ground them on one of the chassis grounds. If your setup came with a power relay, use the original headlight connector to switch it.

I don't know what a balance wire is...but you can pick up 12v+ power in the engine bay off the positive power block mounted on the firewall. Be careful with tools there, that block is not fused...you definitely don't want to arc weld a wrench from that onto the firewall or front battery tray.

I will look into setting it up myself, a friend of mine helped, we got everything but one wire hooked up, we couldn't find no receiving end to one of the connectors the headlights came with, the directions the lights came with were not specific enough and I would like to find another set of directions so if anyone knows a link that I can reference or knows the steps let me know. Sorry I ment balace not ballence, and the wires from the balace need to be run back to the battery so there is a circuit or line in the engine bay that goes back to the battery?
