hi fellow e30 enthusiasts

new to this forum just wanted to say hi and ask a few questions, today i picked up a 91 318 is  , has a busted oil pan upper and lower and has a cracked timing cover where the pan meets the cover, any who it has 91k on it and everything seems to work. engine turns over real nice by hand, do these cars shut off if they loose pressure all the sudden it looks like he drove up on a curb trying to park and screwed up the pans, also where can i get the pans?.
