Cabin Air Filter Replacement
« on: August 22, 2011, 11:53:02 PM »
Just a bit of commentary......
The 93 E36 318i has made it ot 108,700 miles and I just had to replace the Cabin Air Filter. Let me say that when I removed it there was the look of several mice nests and was it black and dirty and smelled really bad... The latter (the Smell) caused me to replace the filter..

What I wanted to share was that I had to take a lot more apart then anticipated..
The Glove Box, The dash Floor/Base (which supported and hid the bottom of the glove box), an BMW radio Amplifier attached to the glove box. Elec plug junction box, a Vent tunnel  and of course the filter. Also some monkey had wrapped the amplifier feed wire around the venting direction cable and Gears.. so I had to correct that...
All in all not too bad but a bit time consuming.
