all of it will be worth it once you take it for the first drive and you hear the turbo spool up and then the BOV going wooosh. instant smile :-)
you guys have it so easy because my car is right hand drive and the turbo downpipe is a mission to get past the steeringcolumn. oh and dont forget to weld in a bung for your lamda sensor in your downpipe.

I also built my first turbo convertion at home but only it was on a m40 engine.it is done but im always fiddling on it :-).dont forget to make a turbo drain hole for the oil before you put the engine back or youll be sorry.
i bought a new t3/t4 turbo but ended up fitting a t28 so that i can spool up at lower revs.im currently running it on 0.8 bar boost with stock internals and it seems to be holding up fine.i fitted an extra 4 injectors at the bottom of the intake to feed the extra fuel once it starts boosting . its wired up to a perfect power management system that only manages the extra fuel with a map sensor to register boost. once everything is put together you will find that there are a lot of small things you will need to finish it off.
