The head had a small crack in it and they said they fixed it. Have put 20-25 miles on it since and its driving fine. New seats are in as well. My dad made a mistake yesterday though when switching antennas.

He was switching out my power antenna and he accidentally put the power wire on ground and ground on power and it shorted something. The cluster and radio don't work. Fuses 8 and 21-30 didn't blow but aren't receiving any power. Any Idea on what shorted? We tried switching some relays but no luck.

He has it torn down to the bare block with basically only the pistons and crankshaft. Everything seems fine and everything we took apart looked fine during tear down. Can someone list out all the possible places where the coolant and oil can mix and we will just get all new gaskets and check those spots while putting it together. He also got the head pressure tested today at a local machine shop and its not leaking anywhere.

Thanks for defending him guys, ill type this up for him so your head doesn't hurt. No need to be arrogant, this is my dads username and we came to this country 14 years ago. He never went to school here and yet his English is still better than some of the people on this forum.

Anyway, on to the problems. The engine has consistent compression all the way across and everything seems okay. He took the head to the machine shop and had it resurfaced to make sure that it was 100% straight even though the machinist told him that he didn't have to have it done. He also replaced the valve seals just in case. The car idles and runs fine. After about 30 minutes the mixed coolant starts to rise to the bleeder valve on the top of the radiator.  The car never overheats and idles smooth as can be. It pulls a lot less oil this time from the block than it did after doing it the first time. After we did it the first time within minutes the dipstick wasn't showing any oil. Also, the oil service light is on

Things that have been done/replaced:
Resurfaced head
Valve Seals
ALL gaskets Including head-gasket
New Thermostat
All vacuum and fuel lines
Fuel Filter
Water Pump
Coolant temperature sensor

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

The head is in garage again.the to chain cover gasket look like is missing one piece of 2-3". I take head to shop tomorrow .Haw much the usual charge for head?

After i replaced hg i flushed radiator and engine.Before and 2 times after new hg.One time only with water.Engine start nice smooth.Temperature just below center line.But oil disappeared and come thru top of radiator?

Interesting is the engine run nice.I start engine with no problems,temperature just right but oil disappeared.Run 10min or more and fresh oil come thru top of radiator and the ugly milky staff ?

Hm i checked and was nice and straight no cracks,cleaned and installed . But compression is 195 +- in each of  four cylinders ?

Check wires for oil sensor and coolant sensor.Happened to switch this two connectors

I bought my e30 with a blown headgasket and have replaced it successfully or so I thought. I am now mixing coolant and oil and can't figure out why. I have 195 compression all the way through. I think it's mixing at the rubber gasket by the timing chain, is that possible? If I was to remove the head and check everything over can I reuse the new headgasket or do I have to use another new one? Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.
