Thanks everyone, i think when the time comes.. im gonna go with the h1/h4 setup.. unless i come across some ellips for DIRT cheap.

My dad has the H1/H4 conversion on his 318is and they are impressive. The low beams on his are brighter than the low beams on my ellipsoids and the high beams are pretty much the same.

Hellas or Cibies?

Anyone have experience with Cibie CSR's.  They are pretty expensive, just about the same price as ellipsoids i think.  Are they worth the money?  Are ellipsoids with the money? Or are H1/H4's good enough.  Dont want to spend too much on lighting.  Also, these are just plug and play right?

Im gonna hopefully get some photos when my friends new camera comes in.  The car still looks the same as it does in the pics from before.  I think its still posted in the FS section.  As for plans.. nothing as of now.  Have to pay back parents still.  But after thats all taken care of.. i was thinking some sways, short shifter, new headlights, paint moldings black, LSD, and maybe a chip.  This would all happen within a course of time, not all at once, or else id be in major debt!

General Topics / Door Locks Uh Oh!

NEED HELP ASAP.  Both passenger and driver side locks wont unlock.. is there any way this could be fixed.  I cant even get into the car i just bought.

EDIT:  NM.  Just messed with the trunk and found the solution.

No doubt about it. I have 200,000 miles on my motor and will be looking at doing something about it soon. There's so much info in different places that it definitely warrants a separate thread. With 160 HP this would be such a great car.

Just curious.. is that 200k miles stock and daily driven without any major problems along the way.  Im just wondering how long these motors are able to last.

so let me get this right, when installing the z3 1.9 shifter (middle one), ABSOLUTELY NO RODS have to be bent?  ive been looking on bf's and some say the selector rod has to be bent on the m20s but not the m42s, but some say otherwise.
