Any confirmation on whether or not this will fit LHD M42 equipped E30s?

It does but you must let them know at purchase. Its a bit more work and you need some different parts to get it to fit. They'll be able to explain it all to you as I haven't had any experience fitting it myself.

I got an email from the engineer I'm working with yesterday that I thought I would share:

"I have progressed on and fitted fuel rail mounts and reworked the injectors to push them in a bit further, somehow we got the flange thickness a bit wrong too but all looking good now. I used the +5 model for now. Its basically ready to get a 3d print made!"

So we're 3D printing a test fit model soon, to make sure everything fits together so things are progressing!

Is this helpful at all? This is what I used when I did mine. I know the link is for an M20 but it still worked for me.

Can't find any write ups geared for the m42 e30 blower motor replacement, does anyone have any useful tips to get the wiring harness out of the way? Maybe someone out there has access to a write up that I can't find? Any tips would be helpful!

Thanks for the info 318kid. I replaced the #20 fuse and it seems to have fixed the problem. Hopefully that's all that needed to be done!

Well I know what fixed mine and it will only help you if you hooked the mystery wire up like I did. I disconnected it and all is well.

I had a problem similar to yours and this stopped it.

I doubt it's the resistor. I replaced it this last fall, and the fan is not working at any speed. I'm starting to suspect a blown fuse. Any idea which fuse controls the fan?

Well, it's not the switch. Maybe a fuse is blown? I tested them earlier, but it's always possible I missed one. Any idea which one it could be?

Hi everyone,

I'm not able to get the fan working for the ac/heat in my car. All the fan speeds were working a few days ago and the A/C was cool. Yesterday the fan wouldn't even turn on, and the blue A/C light wasn't coming on either. I replaced the resistor last fall, and everything was working fine until yesterday. At first I thought there might be something wrong with the blower control switch (part #61311381201) but the A/C light turning on is making me think that it could be something with the wiring behind the panels? Anyone have any suggestions?
