For Sale / 2 E30 318is dashboards FS in CT
« on: July 19, 2014, 10:03:02 AM »
One is from my ~144k mile '91 318is and is on the top in the pictures of the two dashes together. It has a couple very small cracks in the tray area that were there when I first bought the car in '04 with 112k miles. They have not become any larger since. Not noticeable unless you are looking for them. It is also kinda chewed up where the glovebox screws are, I don't know why, but it's not visible with the glovebox installed. Both dashes have the slight "arc" thing over the center vents that is present on pretty much every E30 dash. Pictures of all of these flaws are provided; I don't want a potential buyer to have any surprises. $100 picked up.

The other dashboard, on the bottom of the shared pictures, is from my ~124k mile '91 318is. It has a very small, hardly noticeable indentation right above the tray area, and a very small crack in the tray area that has not grown larger since 2007, when I bought the car. The crack is also not noticeable unless you are looking for it. $125 picked up.

Located in Washington, CT 06777. If you are interested please reply within the thread or PM me. Thanks for looking!

For Sale / FS: Very clean 14'' basketweaves $175 Colorado SOLD
« on: October 24, 2012, 01:13:34 AM »
For sale are 4 stock basketweaves (4x100, ET30, 14x6.5) with Goodyear Eagle HP tires (195/65) with an average of 30-40% tread life left. $175 located in Vail, Colorado.

I have 4 centercaps without emblems on them which can be seen in the photos, though I can't include them in the sale of the wheels at $175. I would rather not sell the centercaps, but feel free to make me an offer if you like.

I can't include a 5th (spare) wheel and tire, sorry. (I need it.)

The wheels are in about as good condition as 21 year old stock wheels are going to get. They came off my '91 318is with 130k miles. One wheel has about 1.5" of very light curb rash and 2 others have one very small ding each on their lips. These are all pictured below. In general the very outer rings of the lips have had the silver paint fade away but it's not very noticeable due to the color of the primer underneath.

I just cleaned all of these wheels quite thoroughly including the inside barrels. You can rock them as-is and they will look great, and if you're a perfectionist, these are perfect candidates for a really easy refinish.

The wheels are perfectly straight and true; the tires don't leak; nothing weird.

Again, this is a great set of basketweaves. And I think I've priced them extremely competitively.

On to the pics:

whoa, sorry, I thought I had email notification on for this thread. No, it's not illuminated. Was never offered that way from UUC, but you can easily DIY since it uses a standard BMW shift pattern "sticker"

$100 shipped for this new shift knob from UUC Motorwerks. Retails for $115 + shipping. The height is adjustable and the fact that it's stainless steel gives it a nice weight for easy throws. Has the newer-style set screw UUC started using which I have come to discover is less prone to stripping. (I use an RK3 in my car.) Shift knob was never used, but has some metallic markings on the inner (delrin?) insert (not visible when installed) from being fitted to my car for the photos seen below. I'll include a (used) allen key for it if you like, though I would recommend using something stronger to tighten the set screw, like a socket hex bit.

Sorry for the phone-quality pics; here they are:

For Sale / FS: Wrecked, running/driving 318is, 118k mi. in CT - $750
« on: August 30, 2011, 09:43:55 PM »
Price is now $400 as-is, see photos in the link I posted on 8/26. It's exactly the same as it was then. I really don't want to deal with removing the engine. I had a guy who wanted to buy the engine for $600, so whoever wants to buy this car would stand to make a good amount of cash.

Thanks. At this point it's more a matter of saving this engine. I'm tired of dealing with BS kids who don't have the money - I really don't want to send this car to the scrap yard with a 118k mile engine still in it, but I'm afraid I may not have a choice. I need this car gone and I don't have the time to pull the engine myself.

That being said, first $500 takes it. Come take this car off my hands, I'm tired of looking at it.

Photos of the car in its current state:

I think you can tell from the pics, but if you need me to clarify what is/is not on the car let me know.

Off-topic discussion / strange 325is sighting

wow, not much going on in M42club's off-topic section. I don't think anyone will mind me bumping this old thread, since it's not that far down.

So WHY did he put a car on his roof?
