Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / E36 318IS Turbo Build
« on: February 03, 2009, 06:54:08 PM »Quote from: Xtremelylow;65810
The car is booked in for a dyno tune at Azevedo Motorsports in NJ on Feb 20th, they are going to burn the factory ecu
cool...i didn't realize that there's support for burning dme chip for e36 m42 engines. i'm currently debating on if i should buy a smt7 or the map-ecu2 to get rid of my afm & get larger injectors to run my dasc correctly. i'm tired of my fmu wasting gas by running rich most of the time.

Engine + Driveline / plastic coolant pipe
« on: April 21, 2008, 02:26:17 PM »
i changed out that pipe before w/ an oem part & that never really sat flushed w/ the block. the shoulder on the pipe doesn't sit flushed w/ the block (it's prob. about 1-2mm away from the block). i blame it on both attachment points being only on 1 side of the pipe instead of being on the opposite sides to prevent it from rocking.
but it has been on for close to a year like this w/out any problems so if it's not leaking, i wouldn't worry too much.

Engine + Driveline / car stumbles when electric fan comes on
« on: June 25, 2007, 09:20:08 AM »
my 95 318ic auto has 98k on it right now. i came it electric cooling fan from the factory. well, when the car is idling at a stop light or in park, the car would stumble & shakes bad for a few seconds when the electric fan comes on. the car also slightly stumbles when rolling the car windows all the way up...i guess the car would stumble when there's a surge in current draw.
there's no problems at all with car when i'm driving.
i'm wondering if anyone knows how to solve this problem.
thanks in advance for any feedback.
