I have 1 but it doesn't have the plastic cover over the bearing, still runs smooth though - $20 shipped

Does it come with the bolt also?

You can use M42 starter just replace M42 FREE WHEEL PINION to Bosch p/n  100 620 9618 and it will be solved ;) One guy discovered that simple swap in Lithuania ;)

Engine + Driveline / Mishimoto swap

does the mishimoto have a bleed screw?  that would make it less messy
you fill the system slowly to the top,  then start car with bleeder open.  air should make its way out and when coolant only comes out of the bleeder you should be ok.  do this with the heater on.   If you do not have a bleeder it will be more difficult, you will probably have to take the top hose off the rad and stick it back on when air stops coming out...messy, like I said.  Having the car on a slope or ramps with the front elevated usually helps

Thanks ill try to do that

Engine + Driveline / m20 flywheel swap clutch problem
« on: November 02, 2012, 02:21:43 PM »

Single mass m20 flywheels can can be different, but all difference is in the weight and some should be moded to fit on m42 and the problem is the clearance between flywheel and engine. The problem can be in the clutch if it is for double mass flywheel but if it is right there sould not be any problems. If the clutch is for double mass flywheel I think you will not be able to tighgen the clutch screws because they will be to short.

how will i know the clutch is for a dualmass? because i bought flywheel, clutch and pressure plate from someone at the same time?

Engine + Driveline / m20 flywheel swap clutch problem
« on: November 01, 2012, 07:10:29 PM »
i recently bought a m20 flywheel and pressure plate/clutch from a member here about 5 months ago for my 318is and i finally gathered all my necessary parts for the swap. well i took it to a friend to do the swap for me. and he ended up telling me that the clutch and pressure plate are squeezed together and he said it doesnt seem right to him. he looked at the flywheel and told me that the flywheel doesnt have an indentation on where the clutch will sit on? my question is are all M20 single mass flywheels are the same? or is there a specific m20 flywheel that will fit for my M42?
