Engine management / Flooding, no start
« on: October 16, 2010, 05:48:59 PM »
Ok I finally got time to work on this thing. Found 2 injectors leaking bad, guess sitting for 2 years got to them. Changed them them it still wouldn't start now I had backfiring through the intake. So to make a long story short  most of the plug wire were crossed up. Here the funny part when I took it apart I tagged the wires and left them in the plastic housing just laid them aside. So it appears they were crossed up on the coil end that I did not have apart, so I'm going to blame it on the ex wife I through out about a month before it quit.

I've check the sensors. I have not checked the IAC valve. I was going to pull the injectors out and have a look next. I figure I'm going find some little critter made a nest in something or chewed something up. It might be the weekend before I get back on it.

Okay here is the story. I a 1992 318I I bought it about 6 years ago with the engine locked up. I rebuilt the engine ran it for about 40000 miles and a timing guide broke, jumped time and bent valves. I tore it down 2 years ago, just never had the time to fix it. My daughter is going to be driving in the spring so I decided to put this back together for her. Got everything back together and it will not start. It will almost start just won't plugs are soaked in gas. I have spark, compression, fuel pressure. Anyone get any ideals?
