Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / UPgrade
« on: February 21, 2011, 06:16:34 PM »
What can I do to get more power, but without putting in a turbo or a supercharger. I've heard something about changing the crankshaft. Does anybody know something about that. What type of crankshaft should I use. I am open to any suggestions on how to improve my enging. :D

Here is a pic of the back of a spare block. There is a bolt (removed) on the back of the block that plugs a possible oil feed line. I removed the bolt and took it to a local hose a fitting guy and told him what I wanted.

I am still running on stock ecu and fuel pump with no problems. Timing is also stock. Thats why I can't exceed 8psi.

What about pistons, head gasket and vlaves are they also stock?

Electrical / fuel economy gauge
« on: September 24, 2010, 04:56:25 PM »
The other gauges work normal, only the fuel economy gauge doesn't work, the sensor on the diff i brand new and the wires are not faulty......

Does anybody have any idea what could cause the fuel economy to be faulty.

Oooo..., komsija, znaci mali je svet! ;)

Pozdrav ;)

Hello everyone.

My name Vedran, I'm from Croatia and a proud owner of a BMW E30 85'. At first it had a M10B16 (we are the first owners), but i wanted more power, and i decided to put in an M42B18 engine and customize a little bit.

Here are a few pictures of my ride

When I start the engine the fuel economy gauge shows maximum consumption. Now my question is this. How do i fix this problem and make the gauge to show proper consumption.
The electronics and the coding plug behind the instrument cluster have been replaced with a new ones.
