A lovely piece of work and all credit to you! As a matter of interest, what gearbox are you running? I ask 'cause the shift pattern on the shift knob seems to suggest a 6 speed.

Actually it has the stock 5 speed transmission.  When i ordered the shifter from the dealer they never ordered the 5speed pattern emblem.

Although i have a feeling that a 6 speed might fit:cool:

Thanks for all the nice comments.

The trunk liner was made out of hard card board then carpeted.  I believe that he bmw cover is NLA.

The car will be in BIMMER mag soon with a full write up on its story.  I will post the article when is comes out.

That is the nicest resto I think I have ever seen on an e30.  I'm amazed.  Also amazed how well the engine bay paint came out without pulling the engine... wow, that's all I have to say.  Going to make one of those trunk liners you made too, see how that turns out.

Thanks for the comments....yea that trunk liner is a really nice addition.

dang, that is absolutly amazing. Wish I had the time, money, and patience to do something like that ;)

Bet you know your car pretty well now...

Yea you beat i do.  The other day a few freinds were looking at the car and they said that we touched every bolt, nut, and wire in the whole car!!!!  I think they are right.

Fabulous. You're lucky to have a father like that!

Very cool! Gives me hope for my newly purchased project '91 318i. Now all I need is a lift.:p

Lifts are great but not necassary. All the work i did was with out a lift.  Although a lift would have been nice.

What about that toolkit?

From a e34 525i, although there are many different ones that will fit.  I used this ones because it have the space for the Triangle.

WOW! Very impressive. Any special/better than stock bits go into the engine?

Advanced the intake cam and installed a light weight JB Racing Flywheel. Also a Dinan Chip.

How did you mount this net?

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/joebmw/318i%20DONE/DSC_0522.jpg

Is that an e28 trunk kit?

What about the material that you added to the underside of the trunk?

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/joebmw/318i%20DONE/DSC_0524.jpg

Looks incredible!!!

You should paint the rocker panels, and the lower half of the rear valance black!!

The net is a BMW part.  They come in many new models.  I drilled four holes on the rear carpet panel.

The under trunk lid carpet is all hand made by ME.:p  That was actually one of the first things that i did to the car when i got it back from the bodyshop.  Its been on for also 3 years now and still looks great.
