Drag racing a BMW is like going fishing with a hooker, it's fun but it's not what you got her for

I know BMW's aren't made for drag.Otherwise I would not drive a 318is.
I much prefer see the faces of peoples:mad::eek:when I take a curve
like a crazy.Still 1/4 mile is a good way of measuring car acceleration.
I want to add that I hate Hondas.I dont wanna stock "TEG" to pass me.

I will put a BIG cone with the head open in a "bowl"
surrouding it.Right trougt the Hi-beam.It should create
cold pressurized air around the cone.I'll probably put heat
shield under the piping. The results will be test on the 1\4 mile.

« on: April 24, 2010, 05:07:44 PM »
I did it.From '87 325is to '91 318IS.The 318is use 1 single pump
in the tank.Clean the tank and make SURE ur strainer(filter of
the pump)is good.

Dont worry about getting a thicker HG.  More compression is a good thing and timing isnt an issue because it can be adjusted at the cam gears.  As long as your machinist didnt face the head past TOLERANCE you'll be fine.

Anybody know how much U can shave with stock pistons?
What compression will it give me too?
