well the interior is not even touched yet,and as far as the shell it isn't that bad, front and rear bumpers are e30 m3 as well as the quarters and front fenders. the wing and the side skirts are not m3 but we are in the process of changing them! the color is  e46 m3 phoenix yellow. anyway it's all good, you don't have to like it.
and ,dennis i signed up a long time ago ever since i bought those doors off you!

i dont know how old YOU have to be in order to be cranky(the owner of that car is 51)
the car has never attracted cops, and the only part that is fiberglass on that car is the wing

if this plug is taped up to the computer harness, leave it unplugged!
this wire is for non cat design(catalytic converter).

Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / M42 Turbo Manifold
« on: June 21, 2006, 05:48:11 PM »
i actually used the oem manifold(flipped)  it does not hit the vc it actually hits the reinforcement by the shock tower.  i had to shorten all four tubes by an inch!  the problem i encountered with the stock manifold is wherever you cut you must reinforce and tig weld!(the mig weld cracked in 3 months) the tig (with the reinfocement) lasted about 1 year.

i think it is a great idea, cause i just purchased a 1995 motor(early 95 with no ews). Just need the oil pan and the pulleys(basicly i just take everything from the 91 and bolt it on to the 95)

Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / m44 into e30 swap
« on: May 04, 2006, 07:27:52 PM »
hi my name is rohan and i am from new york.I did the swap on my car! I used a 1996 318ti motor.the easiest way is to use everything from the 91 318is(m42) the oil pan, pulleys, motor mounts, tranny, computer from the 91 and both harness from the 91 and 96. it will drop right in!(you will have to wire the two harness to each other) it is not that bad,it is mostly color for color. I can send you the wiring diagram for both computers!!!!!

im the new guy here but i have info for turbo fans!mosssleman makes a turbo kit for the m42!it is very expsensive(about 4,000)too rich for my blood!so there is another option. when i turbocharched my car i built my own manifold!if you turn the exhaust manifold upside down and cut off the collector you will see that you have 75% of the hard to find manifold!and it WILL stand up to the heat(mine did)!i am also trying to get the pictures of this too!the entire build cost me under 2,000 dollars and the best time i ever ran was 13.1 at 126 mph! unfourtunately the car got crashed and i sold the entire drivetrain(i thoght i was going to sell the shell) now i fixed the shell back to normal with a few additions and i just picked up a 95 m42 with tranny, harness and computer with 18,000 miles on it.

what's up guys,i'm new in the club ,but i have done many things to my car !i would like to help you guys with my knowledge if i can! as far as the coils on the plugs go,I took e-36 m3 coils popped em on and plugged them in.you have to cut open the factory loom in order for the wires to extend!then re-loom them.making a hold down bracket is the trickiest part!you also have to grind the mounting holes a little to fit them securely in the valve cover. And yes you will feel a difference in throttle response!!!!!!!
