Good day my fellow high revving M42 fanatics. As is goes every year, the long Canadian winter has passed and so I've come out of hibernation to fire up my m42.
Really happy to see we're still using my logo design on the site. Makes me feel right at home
Anyway onward, I haven't really made any tremendous headway this year as I've been quite busy. Though I've had a chance to start experimenting with 3M Vinyl products, while I think the cost and look of the material is great, naturally, I still want paint.

Considering this was my first time applying any vinyl, I think it turned out well but still not flawless. Look past the fact that nothing is aligned and bolted down in these pictures.
In my last updated, I was preparing to buy an AWD Subaru. That changed, got an outrageous deal on a 2005 Dodge Ram QC 5.7 Hemi.

I went out on a limb with this truck, bought in with these conditions clearly outlined: Running very bad, stalls while driving, fuel mileage 35L / 100km (6.5 mpg), 4wd does not engage. Luck would have it, after changing plugs (2 per cyl

), wires and downstream Oxygen sensors, the truck runs like its brand new. 4WD actually did engage, but nearly useless with stripped front spline shafts.
Back to the 318iS, still running a mls gasket and 8.5:1 compression. If all goes well, ms, injectors, walbro pump, cop kit and garrett 2871r will be purchased this summer and *fingers crossed* I will have my turbo M42 complete, under the hood anyway.
In closing, I also have some sad news, lacking sufficient space I was forced to give up my 525i. Likely the most reliable car I've ever owned, it was its time anyway. I decided after years of fun packed service, I couldn't put a price on this car, and donated it to a local charity. The car was my winter warrior in the harsh Canadian winters, the Dodge has large feet to fill.
Anyway, If you managed to make it through my post, kudo's and thanks for reading

See you guys around the forums.
