I sure could use that a/c compressor and power steering stuff if it's in good shape.  Mine looks like a wheel going down the road with one lugnut in. :(  What's the lot shipped to 75068?  PM'd you too

I'd like to snag the ellipsoids.  I'm assuming the buckets are E30 buckets and not E34 ones right?

After replacing the mess under the intake, my $500 318i slicktop is brought to life! My goal is to have this thing completely running and driving well for under $800 total.  So far i'm $612 into it, and all she needs is 1 more rear wheel bearing, tensioner, and an oil pan gasket.

Little bit of a tick, but at least she idles smooth now! Has to be the chain tensioner.  I am ordering one of those and an oil pan gasket so i can pull that off and see if i have any bolts or plastic laying around in the pan.  Cross your fingers. :)  I love this car, there is nothing better for the money.

^^^^  So this is where i'm supposed to connect the Valve Cover > Throttle Body vacuum hose?  I end up with an extra hole in my intake boot then.  Do i cap that off or the one pictured above?

EDIT:  I just said screw it and plugged it up. She purrs like a kitten now. Too late to try to bleed the coolig system, so I'll button it all up tomorrow. Thanks for the awesome info throughout the thread.

i believe the 325e stuff fits the 318i/s.

I'm new to the boards here, so my M42 based knowledge is limited....for now.  I've seen a cam and/or crank position sensor do this on the 6/8cyls quite often.  My E39 540i did the same thing a while back.  Plenty of fuel, no spark one day.

I just picked up a '91 318i smooth-roof sedan.  The exterior is a little rough, but it's all there.  Texas car it's entire life, first owner had it until 140k.  Previous owner bought it from someone on R3V in Houston.  I'm excited as hell to have it.  I also have a '98 540i 6-spd, an '84 325e/i hybrid racecar (24hours of Lemons), '94 Suburban K1500 and the fiance has a '01 Volvo C70 Coupe.  Here are the pics.

Interesting, I just picked up a '91 318i sedan without a sunroof.  No idea how rare this was.  It needs work, but it starts and runs decently.  I need to eliminate the rat's nest underneath the intake ASAP.
