U get extra headroom with those seats? I got an e36 but I'm worried about headroom with a helmet on- I'm already hitting the sunroof :)

Engine + Driveline / Noisy gearbox

How many gears make noise? My e36 blew after driving after driving about 30k with noise from 1-4 but 5th quiet. Mine was pretty loud too.. I think the previous owner screwed me by being an incompentent Doosh and not knowing how to drive. It went at 130k. I'd def swap fluid and drive it till its done.

Suspension / Advice: Cross Brace 93 E36 M42 318i
« on: April 26, 2011, 06:58:54 AM »
Doesnt it really depend on how stiff your suspension is? Meaning if your springs and shocks have alot of play then the car body won't be twisting in a corner(or u won't feel it twisting). Similar to the only reason a rear brace is required is with racing/ coilover suspension to keep from ripping out your shock towers...

Engine + Driveline / intermittent hesitation
« on: April 18, 2011, 10:35:40 PM »
Stomp came up Lambda control 1- CE light comes on intermittently with no correlation to hesitation. I unplugged the oxygen sensor and drove around a bit- it seemed a little better. Mostly the problem occurs during warmup so it's hard to pin down. It also happens with my brother driving way more then me. I'm gonna order an 02 sensor and see what happens. Thanks Dave

Engine + Driveline / intermittent hesitation

Hey guys my bros 91 318 has an off and on horrible hesitation issue (like no power between 1500 - 3500 rpms). I swapped the wires and coils from my 92 that were working well, and new plugs. cleaned under the intake and has no vaccuum leaks. also have a fuel gauge hooked up and i got good pressuse. Cleaning the Idle control valve seemed to make it run well for a about a week (better then its been in a while). Now is crapping out again. can the ICV effect the car in upper rpm or just at idle? I also havent replaced the O2 sensor in a long time. any Ideas? thanks
