darrens is single exit both sides, looks much better than that one you posted. I reckon you should go for something rounder on the coupe.

Engine + Driveline / Another power loss issue
« on: November 13, 2009, 07:30:13 AM »
Help I don’t know what’s wrong or how to fix it.

A week ago my E39 started to act up. At high RPMs 5000 to 6000 I get a sudden loss of throttle. It doesn’t matter if I am in sport mode or not. I then have to wait until the RPM’s drop below 3000 RPMs or shift into 5th or 6th gear to force the RPM’s to drop below 3000. Once the RPMs are below 3000 I get my throttle back however it doesn’t deliver as much power as normal. To reset the problem I have to turn the car off and back on.

Any ideas? Is it the computer? Would a BMW tech be able to plug it into his computer and find out the problem? Please help

How-To's / M42 mass air flow sensoe delete
« on: November 11, 2009, 12:53:22 PM »
I have an 84 633CSi.   I will start it and the engine would turn over, but when I let go of the key the car would die.  I checked  the fuel system was working fine, I put in a new alternator, also tried a used 85 mass air flow meter off an E28, but still the same thing.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

How-To's / Carpet Swap

You dont have to wash the excess dye from the carpet? I tried to dye mine today, but read the instructions on the bottle of RIT and  followed them, and my carpet is still the old color, except for a few parts....
