There is an automotive parts store that has a special sale for 325i springs…. $120.00 NIB.  They claim a 1.2 in drop. The back springs should be fine. Does anyone know what these would do to the front of the car? The 325 weighs more than the m42.

General Topics / SRS tool?

Does anyone in the Houston area have an SRS resetting tool that I could use? I found out why the SRS light went on. Now all I have to do is reset it. A new tool is about $100 & the "Stealer” wants $157.00 to reset it. Obviously I am not going with the "Stealer”, that is for sure….
The wife is after me to fix it for liability/insurance reasons. Some of you have wives... don't you?
HELP!!!!

Electrical / Still chasing an electrical issue
« on: June 27, 2012, 08:27:42 AM »
A bad ground from the alternator to the chassis caused all kinds of problems for me. I finally got a ground strap from a lawn mower (from Carcraft or a tractor place) and had no more problems. The old strap was "corroded" and that was enough to cause problems.

Engine + Driveline / Engine refresh questions

Delta cams will do a mild performance regrind for $95.00 each cam. They can't do welding because the cams are hollow. So it is a mild performance gain. I was thinking of sending my intake cam for regrind when I perform the engine refresh later this year.
  Any comments on doing this?

Engine + Driveline / Mustang Injectors, Now it Won't Idle
« on: May 21, 2012, 04:39:46 PM »
I have the 700 injectors & they don't have a pinttle cap. They look just like the 710's. Mine have been running fine for about a year. I don't have a washers on mine....they are just installed as the originals. They do fit a bit more loosely in the manifold than the originals though.

zacrl1230...

Thanks for the reply. Further clarification on my questions.

4. The engine has both a clutch fan on the engine, a shroud behind the radiator & an electric fan on a shroud on the front of the radiator.
5. I am trying to determine if it s worth it to change mufflers.
