For Sale / Any info on how to get this conversion for e36 m42?
« on: February 10, 2010, 05:24:09 PM »
Hi Rob, I saw a post on Bimmerforums of a cop conversion for an e36 m42 that used an e46 coil harness to connect to the e36 coil pack connector without any splicing on the e36 part of the harness and is completely reversible. any info or links on how to get this harness conversion?  Here is the link to the discussion.    http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=11973813#post11973813

Just coming home from a night out and I was having a bit of a play with a Vauxhall caviler  :D on the M25 got it up to about 85mph and the car started to shake  pushed it a bit further up to 105mph and it was so bad my eye balls were jumping out of my head

not long ago I had the wheels balanced so it cant be that

Please peeps throw a idea my way
Hey Carlos, I had the same problem with my 318is a few month back and it turned out to be the rubber flex disc and driveline support bearing, the flex disc or guibo as some call it, is near the back of the transmission and you can visually inspect it with the car on a lift or up on jack stands. if it has cracks or any nylon strings visible get it fixed quick, they can cause you major headaches if it shears apart. Also if the flex disc looks bad you might want to have the center support bearing replaced also. Either way you can look at the flex disc without paying someone else to tell you its bad. If your car has more than 100k on it you might want to replace them both anyway. hope this helps!
