wow... i have a vert the same color and she looks nuthin like yours.i have bilstein hds on oem springs can i just change the springs and it will be fine?cos i asked the question on the forum and no one seemed to know.also how did u do the shadowline trim

PM'd you about the springs. As far as the shadowline, I removed the trim and sanded with 400 grit wet/dry. I sprayed 3 coats of an acid etching Dupont primer followed up with 4 coats of Dupont Satin Trim paint. It's been a little over a year and it holding up great, even with the salt air and Hawaiian sun.

Which set of Tuners did you go with?   It looks like they have 35/35 and 50/35.

I went with the 35/35 and it turned out a bit lower than I initially wanted. I think a better set up would have been to use Bilstein HDs rather than sports.  I've done a some previous cars with H&R's/Eibachs and HD's and really liked combination. I'm a bit seasoned compared to some of the other forum members and I prefer a car with a bit more loft. Also I like to bash that misconception about having to use shorter struts/shocks with lowering springs when ever I can.

Yes, that is reasonable.  I will be off island until Sunday, how soon do you need it?

When you get back is fine. PM me your contact info. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I don't have enough posts for PM's. Are you on the Hawaii page for bimmerforums? If so I posted there also. Is $200 a resonable offer?

Been busy the last few days. Finally got the project E30 finished and sold(last pic).  In addition I finished the suspension set up on the Vert, which included TunerShop springs, Bilstein Sports, M3 offsets and the 15X7 Alpina reps. I’m really pleased with the setup and it’s like driving a different car. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Exterior / 318i vert back from paint

Very nice... not a fan of bronzit, but I can appreciate a clean e30 for sure.

It's not my favorite either but I always like to respray the original color. And my budget wouldn't support painting the inside of the doors, etc.

Well the vert project is nearing completion after returning from the paint shop. Just a couple of small issues to address and I need to find some wheels.:)

Engine + Driveline / M42 idle issue and gunk in the intake

Had the same problem, traced it to the flapper in the MAF sticking.  Cleaned and lubricated it and the car idles perfect. Hope this helps.
