Yes that’s exactly what I’d be after but going back to it now the whole issue with having to deal the gap between the top and bottom chain covers it a bit sketchy too :/ I’m going to order some forged pistons and pop those in and it will solve all the issues ! You can never get away with trying to do things in a round about way you always seem to have to go all out !!

Hi- I have an e36 I’ve swapped in an m42b18c and I’ve plannned on turboing it for ages I’ve started the build today and he way I was going to lower the compression ratio was with a decompression plate which I bought from VAC in America - the thickness is 3.556mm the problem I now have is that the chain is mega tight to the point where we don’t want to build the rest of the engine. So my question is has anyone faced this problem before and how did they overcome it ??

For further info I’m going to run a brand new td0419t at around 14-18 psi custom manifold etc with all the other bits you would expect like uprated  bearings and arp studs !! just this chain issue which is holding us back at the minute any help appreciated
