Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / M42 fuel injection and piggybacks
« on: January 06, 2008, 11:51:03 PM »
Read through the wiring diagrams of my e36 m42 with my friend because we are ready to do a AEM piggyback, we discovered the m42 bank fires 1 and 3, and 2 and 4. Not as efficient as sequential injection, Hopefully we can get the piggyback working, we want to incorporate a full plug and play kit for the m42.
Has anyone else experimented with other piggybacks with success? Were you able to delete the afm mechanism? thanks

Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / E30 intake manifold onto e36 318
« on: December 31, 2007, 06:03:20 PM »
The e30 manifold seems to be a better flowing manifold than the e36 318 manifold, many people have told me that it would not clear the hood(e30 manifold is slightly taller), but after putting my flashlight(1 1/4 diameter round head) on top of my current manifold and closing the hood, there seems to be plenty of room.
Well, let you know how it goes

Torque wrenches, large breaker bar, and the rest is all average sockets and alen head sockets. I would recommend that you have some motor building skills before trying this all on your own. No special tools were really needed except for the valve spring compressor, made it on my own. But if you need any help just let me know!!
