« on: August 08, 2009, 10:37:50 AM »
Hello,
does it crank,  do you here a little click when you turn the ignition key,  eletronics need a lot less amps then a starter....
check connection.
before your battery died everything was ok and you just change the battery
connection poles on the battery is a tight (serrer in french, not sure if the word is ok) not a bite loose, cable to connector move ...etc

General Topics / removing catalytic
« on: August 08, 2009, 06:50:30 AM »
Hi,
if you have an O2 sensor after one, you can't remove it, if O2 sensor is or are before the cat system you're ok.  If you need to leave it there you can by a free flow.  The chemistry still the same but with way less restriction....

enjoy

sorry, I'm french
A good muffler shop is usily equiped with a pipe bender and form what ever shape they want, either whit a cramp bender that change the shape of the pipe and give you some restriction or a Mandrel bender that keep the shape of the pipe and the diameter, no restriction what so ever.  The faster you dispose of the exhaust gas the more fresh air and fuel you put in the more power you have.
If you really need a catalitic converter, by a high flow unit normally in stainless steel
check on ebay, I don't know any price range because here in montreal we don't have any emission test or regulation. so when it's dead it's out
For the muffler itself you have different compagnie flowmaster, magnaflow, trush, moroso...just a visit to a hot rod shop or a speed shop and you find everything
and you can find everything on the net
If you have time and a mig welder you can buy from the above compagnie mandrel tube lenght that you cut and weld to have the exact shape you need from front to rear.
what ever way you choose you can have a product of the same quality of the bolt on parts for half the price

and please don't say that americans or ignorant, I have family and friends that live in oncle sam's country

thank you

hello,
the pilot bearing hold the input shaft of the tranny so you still keep your tranny, you keep your pilot bearing, as for the clutch it go with the flywheel and the pressure plate, just be sure you align everything first and be sure that the clutch spline fits your input shaft

have fun

hi
I use to built my own exhaut system, front to rear you can buy a high flow cat on ebay or void it, depend where you live and for the muffler flowmaster or magnaflow can sale a less to no restriction the size of the bmw for less than a hundred dollards us. A exhaust shop can mandrel bent the tube the size you want (3 in) and install for maximum 200 USD.
I just put a double line no cat on my 1965 kaiser gladiator pick up for less than 200 cad, header to tail pipe.

A nice shop will hepl you
by localy and have nice customer service

have fun and enjoy
