here's 98% done.

How many yards of vinyl did it take to do all the seats?   I am thinking on attempting this myself but don't know how much to get.

General Topics / My mechanic says my m42 is not worth fixing at 160k miles

My first 91  had 240,000 on when I sold it and the kid is still driving it. And the one I have now had 160,000 on when I bought and now have over 171,000 and I bought the car in January. other than needing some new plugs and a fuel filter it still runs like a top

General Topics / What's your opinion of a $4500 318i???
« on: January 22, 2009, 05:36:09 PM »
nope the other one I had seen was in ST louis but its gone now.   I have to agree 4650 is a little steep for a plain 4 door stock 318i keep searching you will come across something also depends on how far you want to go for one

just went down today took it for a drive and put 1000 down on it. I will be picking it either end of this week or next week when I finally get the rest of my money from plowing snow...   I can't wait

Its a 91 318is red with 159,000 on the clock 5 speed. lowered sitting on some 17 inch wheels not sure what they are. Body is in good shape but missing the front lip as usual, some racing seats but over all in really good shape.  It will be so good to get back into a car instead of driving the tank of a truck I drive. all for 2200 bucks

Well Gentlemen I have come to the decision to part with my 91 318is.

The car has 240,000 miles on it and runs excellent. It was just recently repainted as of this spring and the rest of the trim will be put on in a couple of weeks when it gets here.

The car has been my summer daily driver and still gets around 28 MPG. It has been driven in winter by previous owners. I could go on and on about the car so if you have anymore questions feel free to email me at guy.griffin@gmail.com

The following is a list of things I have done to the car since I have owned it

    * New Timing chain, tensioner, guide rails (due to original starting to wear)
    * Shocks & struts as of a week ago
    * Drilled and slotted rotors in front with new pads
    * Rear wheel bearings
    * Front control arm bushings
    * New Clutch
    * Mangnacor plugs wires and new plugs
    * Replaced the rear end due to pinion gear in the original breaking
    * All new vacuum lines, injector seals and intake gaskets
    * Brand new BMW badges
    * New antenna mast
    * New leather raped shift knob with BMW logo
    * Sunroof visor

Asking $3500 obo
Pics are in the for sale part of the fourm they wouldn't load in here for some odd reason
By I am on the wisconsin Illions border if anyone is close by
