I don´t think I´m following you. I got a rear wiper from a volvo the other day at the junkyard, I think I´ll make it work, but if you did it already I could use some guidance. Can you be more specific about how you did it?

That rear wiper motor will only work at one speed->not fast enough when its raining really hard!

Engine + Driveline / Another idle problem...
« on: May 31, 2009, 01:46:28 PM »
Found the problem!:D

When i bought the car it was runnin on LPG(Liquid propane gas).

So they have been messing around with the idle adjust on the trottle inlet.

Fixed that and car runs like a charme!:)

Registered is the word you want, as in 'registered in 1992'... :D

Nice looking car anyway, very clean! I would definitely try to find some sport side skirts for it though! Then it'll look even nicer.

Thanks mate!;)

I like it the OEM way,so if i ever do something cosmetic to the car it's going to be a full M-tech 2 kit:D

Hey HUUB, welcome to the club!

Where are you from in Belgium?

Congrats with your new toy, I saw it for sale couple of weeks ago on kapaza. ;)

If u like, make an account on: http://www.autoforum.be, some more belgian e30 318is drivers are active there...

And you're 318is can't be from 1992... e30's coupe's are made untill 1991. ;)

Grtz Malaise

Hi Malaise,

i live in Maasmechelen(Limburg).

Where do you live?

Yes i know;) it's made in '91 and written(or how do you say this:confused:) in for the first time in '92.

So it may be one of the last ones:p

This is how i bought the car.I'm pretty sure it's not going to stay like this;)

Things i'm going to ditch:
-17" wheels(these are just to big for the small engine in this car:cool:)
-bottomed out suspension(there's NO suspension travel,so it feels like a cart!)
This is great on a very good "new" road, but otherwise sucks big time!

Ill keep you posted...

Engine + Driveline / Redline 5500 rpm???
« on: May 23, 2009, 02:22:53 AM »

That's really odd, I agree...but better to leave it running with one quirk...if it ain't broke...don't fix it.

You mean fix it till it breaks right...:p

You could also disconnect your exhuast before the cat and then rev it.

If it goes over 5500rpm there's someting wrong(a restriction) with your exhuast.

I can't figure out how to attach the pictures I took of this event, but don't worry about it, because this whole thing was pretty straightforward

You can simply upload them to this service:

If it still doesn't work out, just drop me a PM and i will post them for you;)

I would also make sure that everything is serviced and working right!

Like good new oil,new spark plugs, good new airfilter,...

Clean the whole intake part of the car! There's a lot of gunk in there!;)

Things like a chip will do sh*t when your car isn't working right!

But that's just my 2 cents;)
