So the starter I put in was not for my car :/  I bought a brand new one at autozone and the car now runs fine.  Sweet!

Anyone know how to clear the code to use the radio?

It does sound like that kind of, like when you try and start your car when it's already started.  What causes that though?

I put the starter in and it started, but the car is making a terrible grinding noise.  I can drive it, but of course I don't even want to start it.  It sounds like it's coming from around the starter or at least that area.  I don't really know how else to describe it, it speeds up and gets quieter as I rev the engine.

No bracket, but I got it!  Had to pull the whole manifold, I should have done it a few days ago when I started, I was just scared.  Now to get it tested.  If they tell me it's good I will kill myself.

I've read three different tutorials that say three different things, I've tried all the shit it said and the fucking thing isn't budging.  All say that there are a top and bottom bolt.  There are two bolts on the right side of the starter.  One is missing, was never there I guess.  The other one that is towards the top I removed.  There seems to be a third bold on the other side of the starter, but I can't get anything to turn it to even find out what happens if I could take it off.  Nothing is moving at all as of now.  I don't know what to do, if I pay someone to pull it and then it's not even the starter I'll just have wasted, idk, 300 bucks?  FML

I'm checked the CPS and it's putting out 511ohms is that enough to say that that's where my problem is?

Thanks for the link, I found a couple deal on some good used ones.  I guess I'd be pulling the starter either, so seeing if it works would be a good call

The diagram on the manual is a good help of understanding, thanks for the link.  I'll try swapping out  those relays to see what happens.

The starter does nothing at all.  I hear most the noises you are talking about, but haven't listened for the fuel pump in the back.  Don't know which relay it'd be, none really just say "starter relay"  

I cleaned the terminals, but i'll pull it out and have it tested, ha I'm in no rush to mess with the ignition switch yet.

I'm from PA, and am stationed at Fort Campbell, KY.

I bought the car a couple weeks ago, I flew to Cali, bought it from Rob e30(sweet guy) and drove it back in about 33ish hours.

It's a pretty sweet car, I have an issue and I'm going to make another topic about it, sorry to introduce myself with a tech question, but I want it to run!

I gave someone's motorcycle a jump start, went for a little drive, shut the car off, and it would not start back up.

I got it to pop start and drove it home.

When I turn the key I here one click.

The battery seems fine, all the electronics work, and the car will not jump start.

I did a little tap on the starter, and then when I tired to start the car, I tried a little harder to start just one time, but failed, and now it's back to the single click

I did a "stop test" and I'm receiving the no faults code.

I don't really know what to do. Starter?  That's all I can think of.
