The lip does look really good. I looked all over for an OEM iS lip and paid more than £40 in Canadian $ for a used one. Aside from the MTechII front end, I think the iS lip looks perfect on the E30.

Why don't you ask your son if he'd be interested in working on the car? In good shape, it is still a very nice-looking vehicle on today's roads. It is also a convertible, which adds some points in the coolness category when you're a teenager hanging out with your friends. The car isn't extremely difficult to work on and doesn't have excessive power which can get him into too much trouble too quickly.

The 318is is galvanised with the skin of Jesus himself, making it impervious to friction, wind resistance and aerodynamic drag. When Jesus walked on water, he was actually driving a 318is.
