Engine + Driveline / What to Look for Underneath Valve Cover?

As title suggests, I am going to be taking off the valve cover on my M42 to replace the gaskets so I was wondering what problems to look for. Thanks in advance!

General Topics / Intermittent Check Engine Light. What Gives?

It comes on under light throttle for extended periods of time (say going 40 MPH for like 10 minutes) and goes away immediately after I let off the throttle completely or go WOT. Rarely comes on during idle and idle runs kinda sorta rough. What gives?
