For Sale / FS: Dbilas M42 ITB setup in NC
« on: September 01, 2015, 01:49:26 PM »
SOLD!

Picked these up somewhat recently, but have since decided against building the M42 in my car.  Nearly new (used for roughly 200 miles!) Dbilas ITB setup.  Entire kit is flawless, and in as-new condition.  Included is a throttle position sensor, and good functioning idle stabilizer valve as well.  With these parts already in place, the install of the throttle bodies is quick and painless, and they can be run with the stock AFM/software as well.

Have hoarded this for a while, but don't actually need it.  Very nice condition MPD (now JB Racing) aluminum M42 flywheel.  Was used briefly on another member's car, then retired to the shelf for the last couple years.  No damage, no notable wear to the friction surfaces.  Comes with all hardware.  Over $625 new.

Beautiful, well set-up Brilliantrot car!  If I wasn't so opposed to owning another red 318, I'd snatch this one up in a heartbeat.

That blows!  I've been fortunate to have never had a car stolen or even badly tampered with.  Ugh.   :(

There are tons of rust-free examples out there.  I'm fortunate to live in an area where they are a fairly common occurrence, and only one out of the six E30's I've owned has had any significant rust.  That said, it's proving more difficult to find one with a straight body than anything else.  Sad truth about 318's is they've been cheap cars for a while, and as such, many have been used, abused, and tossed aside  :(

And so, the search continues  :D

Looking for a clean-bodied, 318is in either Alpine white, or Sterling silver. Car should have no rust, and no major damage. Tasteful modifications are a plus, but not a must-have.

Can and will travel for the right car!

Also would not be opposed to a project car, as long as it's a good clean-body with a clear title. Cars needing mechanical or interior work (or both) are fine.

Let me know what you have!

Fix it, or sell it whole.  Too nice a car to part out IMO.

How-To's / DIY Installing a $25 Keyless Entry System
« on: December 05, 2008, 11:53:55 PM »
I have no experience with any sort of keyless entry, so pardon my question;

Will this work if my original locking system is completely fubar'd?  As is, each lock tumbler on the car works fine, but only individually.  The central locking on my car is otherwise completely inactive... can't even lock the doors from the trunk lock.  Will this kit do me any good?

Suspension / Yup.. another springs thread

Yeah, I've decided to try out the Vogtlands.  Seem to best fit what I'm looking for.  If I decide I want to go more aggressive later, I'll either run the H&R Races, or go for a GC set-up.

I'll post up some pics when I get everything together.  Thanks for the replies!
