I'm pretty sure that the whole centre console is from an E46. Cup holders look familiar and the Hazard light switch / Door lock button is.

The later model timing case I have is from a post 9/1993 model M42 and has the crank sensor mount ............................may be a supersession ?? upgrade??

Does a later model timing case with the slides instead of the gear work and fit directly onto the E30 block?
Hi everyone, I'm new here and I was hoping for a little feedback from people who have tried such things before. I am building an E30 M42 motor for a club/track car. I am using an E30 M42 block and an E36 M42 modified cylinder head. The timing case has a broken off deflection gear for the chain which seems to be a reasonably common issue.
