Mornin' Gents,

i'm in the final stages of an m42 swap for my 02, redy to put the engine and trans in. however, i seem to have run into a bit of a problem. in all the write-ups and forums i've seen there's information on which driveshaft to use with an e30 trans, the one i have is an e36. i was wondering if anyone knows if there's much of a difference between the e30 and e36 drivshaft. or what i should use in my 02.

Does any body know if the e36 THA is compatible with an e30 intake? I need an e30 intake for a build i'm doing and already have a THA off an e36. I'd rather not have to buy another one, those thing aren't cheap.

P.S. is there any performance difference?

I'm getting ready to start buying parr for my engine rebuild. I'll start with crank and con-rod bearings. Would I be good with standard bearings or should I spring for those special coated ones, like from VAC motorsport?

Ya I need the first one. Though I'm wondering now if it would be more wise to change the braking system since it's the breakbooster thats preventing me from using the one I already have. Is that even possible or worth the trouble?

Hi, I'm looking for an e30 intake for a m42 engine swap in my '74 02. Anybody know where I can find one? They don't seem to carry them at realOEM and everywhere else I look I only seem to find ones from the e36.

Hi everyone. I'm working on an m42 engine swap for my 2002. my engine is out of an e36 and everything I've read says that i need to switch to an e30 intake to make it fit. they seem to have discontinued it on realOEM and everywhere else that they're posted the seem to actually be e36 manifolds(whats up with that?). Does any body know where i should look or have any suggestions?
