I am pretty interested in this thread, as I am debating on what to do with my m42.  I would be interested to hear your thought process behind the build.

Ok, just let me know whats up. An idea how new the intake boot is?  Ill need one of those as well.  Do you have a cop kit or m20 flywheel setup on the car?

Update?  I also would be interested in at least one motor mount and the diff if it is a 4.xx lsd

ill sell you both motor mounts as a pair. and i have 2 4.10 diffs how can i verify it is LSD tag is not readable. also intake boot is new i belive.

You can check if the diff is LSD by taking off the rear cover and inspecting it, or turn the input flange while holding one of the outputs.  If the other output spins then its open.  If the one youre holding tries to turn in your hand its an LSD.

PM me your individual prices for the mounts, intake boot and LSD shipped to 29360.  Thanks :)

I am also interested in the shaving process.  Do you have any pictures of the flywheel?  I am looking into the m20 flywheel swap...any idea how this compares?  Thanks!

How-To's / Re: M42 sensors (all of them)
« on: January 02, 2014, 08:23:22 PM »
I think that locating the sensors isn't nearly as bad as verifying the proper operation of the sensors.  I would like to add information about testing and ensuring the accuracy of the sensors for the e30 m42.  I have recently torn my m42 apart again in order to clean it up and double check everything.  I am trying to find information to test each electrical component, but in my searches I have gathered much more confusion than results.  I can post what I have found here, but I would need help from others in order to verify my measurements.
