Engine + Driveline / Did we ever figure out the "Hot Start Problem"

I'm wondering if our E36s have something similar, but it's integrated into one of those multi-wire plugs. Kinda like how we have to do some funky splicing to install a COP kit. I can't find anything like this in the wiring diagrams, though.

Yes, it can be installed in the E36. I just did it a few days ago. Take a look at the connector that's plugged into the coil pack. What you have to do is clip that off and splice it into a coil harness for an I6 engine. That way you'll have connectors to go to the individual coil packs.

And no, you don't have to take your coil pack apart. This will get rid of your old coil pack and you'll have the individual coils over the spark plugs.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but could someone explain to me what the "A/M" switch next to the automatic transmission selector does? I'm assuming it stands for "Automatic/Manual" or something like that, but I don't really understand it.
