For Sale / FS(T): 8.5:1 CR Forged Pistons *0 Miles*
« on: December 23, 2013, 07:41:46 PM »
I bought the 8.5:1 pistons from VAC motorsports a few years ago for my 2002 project. first overbore (83mm i believe, but will check). They have been professionally installed in a shortblock, but that engine has never been turned over or fully assembled, so they are as new with 0 miles. I have decided to change directions for my build and am looking to sell or trade these pistons. I would be interested in trading for stock overbore pistons (83mm i believe) or selling them for $600. I am located in NEbraska.

For Sale / FS-m42 turbo rebuild longblock-Nebraska

Just in a different financial situation than when started. I could do a slight rebuild and have the car on the road and enjoying it with little effort, where as finishing this engine and making the car worthy for the power would be too far down the road to see.

Gauging interest for my rebuilt m42 engine from 1994 bmw 318is. This motor has been completely gone through. the bottom end has been bored, honed, dipped, and the block o-ringed and assembled by professionals were in neural for $650. New rods, bolts, main and rod bearings, and forged rods and pistons(8.5:1 cr for forced induction) from VAC Motorsports. New valves and head machine/rebuild as well. Lightweight/surfaced European flywheel also. Black and white paint on valve cover and intake and black engine block. Mess under the intake has been taken care of as well as COP Kit along with other details im sure im forgetting. Decided not to build such a crazy engine for my bmw 2002 so am selling off the engine/parts. Needs turbo/exhaust manifold/few other items to be completed. No short cuts in building the engine so far, was building with 400+ hp end goal. almost 3500 invested, looking for 2k or best offer. Fairly negotiable, depending kn interest. email or message for more details.

I regret to have to sell off my project due to personal reasons. I have up for sale the complete bottom end from a 1994 bmw 318is. the block is still the m42, not the m44 even though it is from an e36. everything has been gone through. new bolts, main bearings, rod bearings, rods and gaskets all from pelican parts. i may have the receipt, ill have to look. the listens are the forged 8.5:1 ones from VAC motorsports. again, ill check for a receipt. The block was dipped, bored, honed, and assembled by a professional here in Nebraska for $648.  block is painted black. The assembly has 0 miles since rebuild and has never been installed. located in Nebraska and will ship at buyers expense. asking $1500obo. will get pictures asap

The only sketchiness is how many people think you can't run high boost on pump gas and stock internals. example: stock talons run 30psi all day long at the track here and they don't even have forged internals and they are doing the 1/4 mile in high 11s on 94octance. At the end of the day its the good tune that will get you from point A to point B :)

Here is my list of mods for 18psi

t3/t4 hybrid 63trim turbo(ebay cheapy rebuilt with garret oil seals)
NGK Pro racing plugs temp rating 8
18degs timing at peak torque and 21degs across the board on 91 octane
Med size Intercooler
Metric Blue head 12.9gr bolts torqued to 80Lbs
36LB Injectors maxed out( not recommended lol )
Stock Motronic 1.7.2 tuned by me

talons are also stock turbo'd and have a compression ration of what, 8:1 already? also take into account the reliability that DSM's are known for....

good luck with the ebay turbo...and a good tune makes all the difference in the world but have fun doing it with 36lb injectors and motronic at 18psi. it can be done but ill see ya down the road 10,000 miles.
