Engine + Driveline / M42 Very Loud Clattering noise...

Hello Everyone, New to this Forum!
I have a 1992 318i and I just replaced the head gasket. Engine was not making any abnormal noises before this repair but now it sounds like a tractor!
Here is what I do know: Chain and sprokets look good (At least to me they they look good. Tops of teeth are square.). Only 80,000 on the car.
I changed the tentioner twice and noise is still there.(Yes is was compressed when installed)
The noise seems to be coming from the chain and cam area.
Is is possible I could have done something when puting it back together to cause the head not to get oil pressure? However, when I run the engine with the valve cover off plenty of oil is flying off the chain but I dont see any flying off the cam lobes.
All timing is on the mark and head was torqued to specs.
One other thing. I do not have the cam lock tool but marked the cams to the sprokets at #1 TDC and put it back in the exact same position.
Then engine idles well, responds well to acceleration, and starts right up.
Any ideas? I am stuck!
