^^ Looks awesome. Love the stance. Did you flare the fenders?

Rear guards have been slightly flared out with a guard roller but apart from that its just rolled guards.

One of the problems with the WAR chip is that you can't tune on the fly. You actually have to read the data that you recorded while driving and then make your changes while the car isn't running.

Here is a link to a guy that was doing S14 E30M3 Megasquirts. I spoke with him some time ago and he could do an M42 also.

Yeah, I read the same thing and thats what actually made me lean more towards megasquirt, along with being able to wire in a map sensor easily will also have its bonuses. I'll send some of the people mentioned emails when I get home from work tonight :)

Thanks guys:D

Hi.

I'm half way through the process of supercharging my m42 and I saw a while back that there was a person who used to make prebuild megasquirt ecu's to fit a M42. I'm interested in if anybody still does this, Being in Australia it makes it a little bit difficult to find any form of aftermarket support in terms of standalone ECU's. At this stage I'm leaning towards megasquirt but unless I can get a prebuilt box I'll probly end up settling for a WAR Chip.

Cheers
Ben.

I Don't have a answer for you, But i've always wanted to build a Lotus 7 and have always also had the intent on placing a m42 under its bonnet :P Props on a great build!

if you want a cheaper option, contact todd at dynotech http://www.dynotechonline.com/store/index.php?main_page=contact_us and see if he still has any of the log-style manis.

Yeah the log style manifolds are a No No for us in Australia becase we have a steering collumn that also interferes with it all. The only log style I've seen has been bottom mount and there is barely enough space for a dump pipe down there let alone a turbo :(

but be warned, otis (good & tight) tried that angle with a run of 10 manifolds and ended up pretty frustrated by the experience of having a bunch of people saying "yeah i want one!" and then when he had them ready to sell everyone disappeared.

i managed to benefit from that when he wanted to dump stock- got a ceramic-coated M42 turbo manifold for $400 because he just wanted them gone.

Does he still make manifolds? I'm looking for a m42 manifold without having to pay up to over $1000 AU for one from 666fab.

Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / Turbo M42 Questions
« on: May 03, 2010, 12:46:30 AM »
Quick question, what manifolds is everybody using? I've got a ball bearing t3 turbo off a skyline r32 gtst which im getting a steel exhaust wheel for. Theres a couple of manifolds on the UK Ebay but not sure on what peoples luck is with these manifolds fitting on a E30. At the moment I'm steering towards a 666 fab mani purely because I know its good quality and will fit.

Is it just me or does that 0-100 seem dissapointing? Could it just be because its in a e36 I'm guessing. I was out in a R32 last night that was only making 199rwhp and it seemed faster and similar weight to a e36.
