do you have any of the following in EXCELLENT condition on your '91 ...

~ power TOP motor?  {not the power boot motor}
~ pair of the lower front speaker/kick panels?  {BLACK only}
~ panel that surrounds the 4 switch cutouts, radio, clock & HAVC controls?
~ console's rear ashtray assembly? {with/without the ashtray lid}

if i understand what you're saying, the 'gap' you're talking about is one of the mounting points for the optional hardtop ... when the hardtop is not in use, there is a kinda oblong black filler piece that plugs into the 'gap' ... my cousin's '92 cabrio has them ... check out #22 in the following link

my stamped alum tag says "410 9051" ... that means i have an open 410 dif & not a lsd, right? ... and does anyone know what the "9051" means or relates to? ... thanks

remember, the horizontal stitching was also done on the M3 besides the cabrio ... so ... personally ... i'd stick with the leather ... looks like whoever did the leather did a most excellent job
