a forum member was kind enough to host the pdf of the grassroots motorsports supercharger (dasc) install

http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~kramere/downloads/GRM_bimmer_2.pdf

no changes to the engine internals

interesting!! good read. i see they had to use other parts of a 92'93 model, some of a z3,and the brake fluid bottle of a 2002.
one or two problems but more or less seemed ok!!
ill check out where to get a charger now. more or likely will have to import from usa

but i do have the money there and i want to spend it on my baby :D
defo getting some great ideas here, thanks lads.
but not too keen on stroker kit,
my mate done that on his '92 civic sir 1.6L and bored it out to 1.9 which was crazy!!!! he basically spend 1000's on the engine and modifed everything possible and it blew up on him weeks later.
would anyone recommend getting bucket seats or keep it original????
and one other thing... the alloys!
everyone has the rep. alpina's, so i was thinking of dipping the original bbs alloys in white???? what ya think?

hi all,

just thinking of putting a chip in the euc for better performance.
i believe these cars chip well, with not many problems, and it is an advanced performance that you an feel. i was always weiry of doin this in case it was a trouble starter.
is this true???
whould you reccomend it???
has anyone here done this???
is it worth the money/hassle???

Hi all,

I need some info on this.
I own a e30 318is, but unfortunly, the head cylinder is cracked and i can not, for love or money, find a replacment here in ireland.
Im not sure about elsewhere, but this is a very rare engine here.
But, there is quiet a few e30 325i engines.
So, I was wondering what would I have to do, would this engine fit?
and also what else would be needed to do this swap?

example;

325 ecu,

gearbox?

brakes?

has anyone tried this?

any info at all would be great thanks!!!

Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / Buildup: My quest for NA 180 hp

these goals are very reasonable and are actually what i hope to accomplish with my m42 as well.  other than the option of the DASC, i wanted to reach the 200hp as mark as well.  your setup sounds similar to what i would be running.  ill do a quick run down.

engine
stock bottom end
rebuilt head with cams and proper valvetrain
completely rebuilt timing equipment
a maf setup with MS or some sort of tuning

drivetrain
8lb. m20 ltwt flywheel
new stock m20 clutch if not a stage 1
med. case 4.10 LSD
z4 3.0 ssk
uuc dssr

exhaust
custom 2.5" from centerpiece back (after 2-1)
electronic exhaust cutout before cat which will be replaced with a resonator

i believe our best bet would be tuning.  bmws are known for being well underrated.  if you can unleash its true potential by fine tuning the computer, 200hp is easily achievable.

if the bottom end is tinkered with, the whole process will be much easier.
i need help!!!! maybe you can help me,
first off i own a 318is e30. I found out the cylinder head was cracked and im finding it very difficult to replace it here in ireland.
so, as a last resort, im now thinking off dropping a 325i e30 engine in it and i was wondering what else i would need to make sure the engine runs right. wat else do i need?
example;
ecu
gearbox
brakes
???????
thanks
