i had a similar problem mine turned out to be 1st torn filter sock 2nd clogged filter sock. i ended up buying a walbro 255 (can defintely tell its running, very loud), blowing out the lines and replacing the fuel filter ran like a top. Sad thing is shortly afterwards water pump failed, car over heated and cracked head. Just finished swapping a '95 ti motor (serpetine belt ftw electric fan ftw)and everthing seems to still work fine. I'm just now finishing up my 318ti into e30 swap (do to cracked head at number 3cyl rear exhaust valve). i want to keep the serpentine belt but i've removed the a/c and powersteering. has anyone done this conversion? my problem is routing the belt. not sure exactly how i'm goin to do it yet. hopefully going to figure it out tonight.

Engine + Driveline / Water pump?

Has anyone had any problems with thier water pumps leaking?  If so how much of a pain is it to replace?  Also has anyone had a problem with their car leaning out/ loosing power? For some reason my car will lean out and then Ill shut it down and immediately restart it then acts normal for awhile. I've got a new walbro 255 pump and fuel filter.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yup sorry about that i know to admit when im wrong aka a dumbass. Just finished the suspension swap. Everything went smoothly.  As far as the medium and small cases are concerned is there a difference in the axles? I wish my 325i had lsd cause i wanna get rid of my 4.10.  Anyways thanks for the replys.

Somebody please tell me that its possible.  I have a wrecked '90 325i that I had a H&R Cup kit on I now have a '91 318is that I'm goin to tryin swap everything onto.  But yesterday while changing the diff and engine oil I noticed that the front struts are different. Can it be done?

Its nice to see all the replys, much better than bf.c. My walbro will be in mid next week and I'll tryin take a few pics and do alil write up while I'm replacing it. I just want this car to run, I'm hoping it wont be raining anytime soon as all I have is my harley to ride as of right now.

we have a pusher and a puller.  I believe one transfers gas between the tanks.  I could be absolutely retarded  also.

So my new to me 318is likes to eat fuel pumps and i dont see my self spending the $300+ on a new one.  Has anyone converted to a walbro 255?  I know we have to pumps but the intank is the only one going out.

I just purchased a '91 318is for 600 this past monday. The good the body is solid, motor runs strong, aftermarket header, new gas tank, radiator, tires, and ps rack. The bad 1st gear syncros are going, needs an exhuast (manifold back), paint(diamantschwarz) has been severly beaten by the sun and someone decided that an aftermarket sunroof would be super shweet.
Im in the process of replacing the exhaust and was wondering what yall thought about a 2.5 high flow cat into a 2.5 single inlet 2.5 dual outlet muffler? It would all be magnaflow. Flame away if ya need be. Also where could i get a panel to fill the sunroof hole?
