i got a mits 14b turbo off of an eagle talon for free because it was blown.  I found a rebuild kit laying around my boss' shop and he sold it to me for 20 dollars (on ebay they're like 50-80)! I'm going to rebuild it this week.  I've been hunting for the best deals I can find for about a year or two now.  I'm slowly getting parts, I'm glad to see someone found a use for the M50 mani!! I seen that on and found the specs of it and discovered that would work.  Looks good so far!

Electrical / COP Brackets: Your Preferences?

wow this is really good.  I just got a couple questions for you guys about this. Ok, that plate just fits around the spark plug holes correct? you attach the coils to that plate but how to hold the plate down or will the coil/plugs hold that down?  Oh and that link is no longer good.  Are they just the M54 coils that are used?  Sorry for the newbbbbbb questions but I need to see if this will work on my E36.

Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / how to e36 turbo install step by step
« on: March 11, 2008, 01:29:56 AM »
Hey I've seen a guy take an M3 turbo manifold and he chopped the last 2 off and then welded a piece to cover the hole for a turbo manifold.  I found a couple fairly cheap looking around that I'm planning on doing for my E36.  Looks good man keep up the good work!  Thanks for posting this as well!

Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / Safe Boost for Stock M42 Motor?

i would almost get an upgraded head gasket and a little head work done before trying to pull 10 psi...i know 6 is def. safe.  That's the most I'd run through a stock M42.  That's my $0.02

Suspension / getting there!
« on: February 12, 2008, 03:28:10 AM »
First off I'm currently in college so this is taking a little while to complete.  I have an 94 318is and so far I have: koni sport shocks/struts, H&R sport springs, K-MAC camber/caster plates up front, new ball joints, and half the bushings so far have been replaced.  I'm working on getting the rear camber trailing arms, and thinking about sway bars but not sure.  What do you guys think about sway bars (adjustable or not) after I finish replacing the rest of the bushings?  Think they are needed for a daily driver, and maybe someday auto-x?

M42 Reference / m42 hate on bimmerforums
« on: February 12, 2008, 03:23:39 AM »
I own an E36 318is and I love the car!  I really want an E30 though...drool...I don't plan on getting rid of this 318 for anything at the moment.  I enjoy it ya it's a little slow...but i'm usually riding around with a friend that is boosted and runs around 12-13 second quarter mile times.  I am really starting to hate bf.c because of all the crap that is thrown around to the guys with 318's all because they own an 325 or higher.  I'm glad I found this place...seems to be peaceful for a guy that owns a 318 :D!
