Hello, does this car have an LSD? I'm looking for a 3.73 or 3.91 if there is one for sale.

That would be good to know, as the m40 put out a little less power, so presumably would not hold as well as m42 clutch.
Generally stock BMW clutches are very robust. I can't see that as being an issue, unless you are running a heavily modified engine.

Just out of interest. Would a standard clutch for a m42, match up with your single mass flywheel?

I read that the pressure plate is swappable so presumably the clutch disc would match as well?

Seconded. Also, condition of includable (lol) clutch?

Picture showing the amount of meat left on the clutch disc, still has some life left:

I would like to see $165 for the flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate & throwout bearing - all with ~93,000 miles on it.
The stock clutches on my e30's lasted 160,000 & 194,000 miles with the latter still holding fine when I pulled it - the clutch included should still have some good life in it yet.

I have the coveted m40 single mass flywheel which is only 1lb heavier than the m20 conversion with all things considered (flywheel, clutch disc & pressure plate). Hell of a lot lighter than the stock dual mass FW!

I can include the matching clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing and the benefit is you can use your existing starter motor - no need to find an m20 starter motor & swap pinion gears and all that jazz. I can also resurface it for you if you would like to put on a new clutch.

Will entertain offers.
